Colin Kaepernick may have a new contract soon.
The 49ers and Kaepernick are reportedly closing in on a restructured deal, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
The soon to be reworked deal is reportedly meant to alleviate concerns regarding injury guarantees in the quarterback's previous agreement.
The deal reportedly would also include an opportunity to become a free agent after this season.
