Last Sunday, Colin Kaepernick racked up 296 yards in the air and 113 yards on the ground.
"The easiest yards to get are when noone is paying attention," Hall of Famer Steve Young said on KNBR 680 on Wednesday. "There's easy yards that you get until people really turn their attention to you. I promise you, if you're 1-9 and you're rolling in, it's human nature, even the best teams, we got caught in it all the time: 'It's a trap game.' It is!
"Because we're not paying attention. You're 1-9. So you get into a jam, it's just human nature ... there's gonna be some yards in there, generally, because you don't have their usual laser focus."
The 49ers went 1-4 with Blaine Gabbert as the starter and are now 0-6 with Kaepernick under center.

Over his last four starts, Kaepernick has registered some good numbers.

"Give credit where credit is due," Young said. "From kind of lost his job, flat on his back, you can argue he lost the locker room and the guys, to kind of find your way back and play some decent ball.
"You're really playing for a job, too. If it's not here, you want to make sure that you have a job ... he certainly played enough this year and well enough that he's gonna have a job. Someone is gonna give him a job. Is it here? Hard one.
"That's gonna be a real challenge going forward. How are they gonna manage the whole thing? Are they gonna go draft somebody? Has he done enough to be 'the guy?'
"You gotta go win some games. You gotta show that you've re-taken the locker room, and the guys will follow you and all that stuff. You can't accomplish that here in this 1-10 season."
