A's Vs. Brewers Lineups: Nick Martini Starts After MLB Trade Deadline

OAKLAND -- Nick Martini will make his first start of the season Wednesday night as the A's host the Milwaukee Brewers at the Coliseum in their first game after the MLB trade deadline.

Martini and Beau Taylor were recalled from Triple-A Las Vegas earlier Wednesday, as both Ramón Laureano and Josh Phegley were placed on the 10-day injured list. Laureano is expected to miss about four weeks with a stress reaction in his right shin, while Phegley suffered a left thumb contusion Sunday.

Martini will play left field and bat second in the order. Mark Canha will handle center field and hit sixth, while Robbie Grossman moves to right field and bats seventh. Chris Herrmann will be behind the plate and hit eighth, with second baseman Franklin Barreto batting ninth.

Veteran left-hander Brett Anderson will be on the hill for Oakland, trying to improve to 10-6 in 2019. The 31-year-old has a 4.05 ERA and 1.28 WHIP in 21 starts this season. Anderson has faced the Brewers three times in his career, going 0-1 with a 5.19 ERA.

Milwaukee will counter with right-hander Jordan Lyles, who they recently acquired from the Pittsburgh Pirates. The 28-year-old was 5-7 with a 5.36 ERA in 17 starts with the Pirates this year. In two career starts against the A's, Lyles is 1-0 with a 1.32 ERA.

Here are the full lineups for the A's-Brewers game, which will be broadcast on NBC Sports California and the MyTeams app. Coverage begins at 6:30 p.m. PT, with first pitch at 7:07.
