CC Sabathia Represents Hometown of Vallejo on ‘Players' Weekend' Cleats

Few have represented the city of Vallejo and the 707 area code better than Yankees pitcher C.C. Sabathia.

In addition to consistently giving back to the community that raised the All-Star pitcher, Sabathia represented his hometown proudly on his cleats during MLB's "Players' Weekend" festivities.

Sabathia is a graduate of Vallejo High School, and has some of the material from his letterman jacket on the cleats.

Despite growing up as an A's fan, Sabathia recently revealed he was hoping the Giants would select him when he entered the 1998 MLB Draft.

The 39-year-old may not be as big of a fan of the A's at the moment, as they just swept Sabathia's Yankees in a three-game series at the Coliseum.
