The Oakland A's moved just a game back of the Houston Astros in the AL West thanks to Friday's walk-off win. Oakland's triumph was not without controversy.
The A's tied the game in the ninth when a video review overturned a close play at the plate. Oakland rookie Ramon Laureano was initially called out by home plate umpire Alfonso Marquez, but the call was overturned.
It's safe to say the Astros weren't too happy with the call. Houston outfielder Josh Reddick, who played 596 games with Oakland from 2012-2016, voiced his displeasure with MLB's replay system in a tweet Friday night.
Replay is meant to get the call right. Tonight, that didn't happen.— Josh Reddick (@RealJoshReddick) August 18, 2018
Reddick elaborated on his thoughts when he spoke to reporters after the game.

Reddick on the call at the plate: "Everything I saw, he was out. There was zero angle that showed him being safe and getting in there. I have no idea what they saw there. Everybody around here thinks they made the wrong call. ... Pretty tired of getting screwed over by reviews."— Brian McTaggart (@brianmctaggart) August 18, 2018
The A's and Astros renew pleasantries Saturday at 1:05 p.m. Oakland can move into a tie for first place with a win, two months after sitting 12 games behind Houston.
