Former Giants Slugger Still Hates Dodgers: ‘This Is Where Their a– Should Be'

Jack Clark played 10 seasons with the Giants from 1975 to 1984. And he still doesn't like the Los Angeles Dodgers.

It's been a tough season to watch for all San Francisco fans with the last-place Giants nearly 40 games behind the first-place Dodgers, Maybe more so for Clark.

"The other team in Southern California -- I hate to see them anywhere -- this is where they're ass should be instead," Clark joked on KNBR with Murph & Mac Wednesday morning.

Clark offered his thoughts on what went wrong on the field this year.

"At certain times you just gotta refresh a little bit," he said. "It's time to move on. You need some fresh blood in there, some new young stars. You need pitching. You need bullpen. You need closer. ... A lot of things haven't really turned out well for them."

But Clark is confident fans won't be subject to last-place seasons for long.

"The Giants, usually when that happens, they come and bounce back. But it really should drive them, this offseason, to go ahead and fill in the blanks."

Clark was the Giants first receipient of the Willie Mac Award in 1980. He arrived in the Bay Area on Tuesday to be present for this year's ceremony.
