Arroyo Hit on Hand Again in First Game Back Off Triple-A DL

Christian Arroyo's return from the Triple-A disabled list ended halfway through the game.

Out since June 14 with a wrist injury after being hit by a pitch, Arroyo was hit again on the hand Saturday night while playing for the Sacramento River Cats.

With the River Cats trailing Fresno 7-1 in the bottom of the fifth, Grizzlies pitcher Dean Deetz tried to come inside on Arroyo. The pitch appeared to hit the top of Arroyo's left hand.

Arroyo immediately jumped in pain and slammed his helmet down in anger. The River Cats' trainer checked on Arroyo, who was promptly removed from the game.
