Dodgers 4, Brewers 2: LA Wins Game 7 of NLCS to Advance to World Series

The Los Angeles Dodgers are now four wins away from being two World Series titles away from tying the Giants' mark this decade.

The Dodgers beat the Milwaukee Brewers 5-1 in Game 7 of the NLCS on Saturday, and advanced to their second straight World Series. Los Angeles ace Clayton Kershaw pitched a perfect ninth inning to seal the win.

Cody Bellinger put the Dodgers ahead 2-1 with a two-run home run in the top of the second inning, while Yasiel Puig's three-run bomb gave Los Angeles an insurmountable 5-1 advantage in the top of the sixth.

Puig had no regard for baseball's unwritten rules, and threw in a bat flip for good measure, too.

The Dodgers will face the 108-win Boston Red Sox in the World Series, which begins on Tuesday at Fenway Park. It will be the first matchup in the Fall Classic between the two teams since 1916, when the Dodgers were called the Robins and played in Brooklyn.

Since both teams moved to California in 1958, the Dodgers have more World Series titles (five) and more NL pennants (11) than the Giants (three and six, respectively), but Los Angeles is currently in a 30-year championship drought.

Giants fans surely hope it will grow to 31 by the end of the month.
