Former Giants Slugger Jack Clark Still Hates the Dodgers

Jack Clark played 10 seasons with the Giants from 1975 to 1984. And he still doesn't like the Los Angeles Dodgers.

It's been a tough season to watch for all San Francisco fans with the last-place Giants nearly 40 games behind the first-place Dodgers, Maybe more so for Clark.

"The other team in Southern California -- I hate to see them (in first) -- (last place) is where they're ass should be," Clark joked on KNBR with Murph & Mac Wednesday morning.

Clark offered his thoughts on what went wrong on the field this year.

"At certain times you need to refresh a little bit," he said. "You need some fresh blood, some fresh stars. You need pitching. You need bullpen. You need closer. A lot of things haven't really turned out well for them."

But Clark is confident fans won't be subject to last-place seasons for long.

"(The down season) really should drive them this offseason to fill in the blanks."

Clark was the Giants first receipient of the Willie Mac Award in 1980. He arrived in the Bay Area on Tuesday to be present for this year's ceremony.
