Bruce Bochy revealed Wednesday morning on a radio interview that Giants GM Bobby Evans has looked into the possibility of a Pablo Sandoval reunion with the Giants.
Evans himself made it clear he has indeed looked at The Panda finding his way back to The Bay.
"It's possible, we'll just have to see what the Red Sox do and see how this plays out," Evans said Wednesday morning on KNBR 680 with Gary Radnich and Larry Kreuger.
The Red Sox DFA'd Sandoval last Friday, though he is still under contract. Due to league rules, Evans can't comment too much on Sandoval's situation, but did make it clear he's open to Sandoval's return, especially if he proves himself in the minors first.
"I think that again, it's not something we've spent a lot of time on of course," Evans said. "The trade deadline, there's a lot of other focuses of course, but I imagine if he was available, anything would be possible."
Sandoval signed a five-year, $95 million deal with the Red Sox after the Giants won the 2014 World Series. He hit just .212 in 32 games this season before Boston DFA'd the former Giants All-Star.

In three seasons with Boston, Sandoval, now 30 years old, hit just .237 while only playing in 161 games.
