After six games with the Giants' rookie-level team in Arizona, Joey Bart was ready for short-season ball.

And he proved it Wednesday night in Salem, Oregon.

Making his debut for the Salem-Keizer Volcanoes, Bart drove in a run in the first inning against the Hillsboro Hops with a fielder's choice.

In his second at-bat, Bart provided the fireworks as he crushed his first professional home run, a two-run shot to left field.

Bart single in the bottom of the fourth, but base runner Diego Rincones was cut down at the plate to end the inning.

Salem-Keizer scored six runs in the bottom of the fifth, but Bart grounded out to second base to end the inning.

But Bart wasn't done, though. Coming to the plate for the fifth time in the bottom of the eighth, the No. 2 overall pick in the 2018 MLB Draft homered to right field, his second of the night. That shot gave Salem-Keizer a 15-1 lead.

Bart finished the night 3-for-5 with two homers, four RBI and two runs scored.
