Giants Vs. Padres Lineups: Austin Slater Hopes to Repeat Huge Night

The Giants offense was on fire at the plate Monday night, much in thanks to Austin Slater's huge night in his season debut. Slater was brought up to face a trio of lefties during the three-game series in San Diego, and the Orange and Black went on to win, 13-2.

On Tuesday, the teams will continue the series with Tyler Beede taking the mound for the Giants. In his last outing against the Padres on June 11, he gave up four runs over 4 2/3 frames. Opposing hitters are currently hitting .276 against the young Beede and on the road, he's totaled a 7.11 ERA. San Diego also has scored nine runs on 11 hits across 8 1/3 innings against him.

The Padres will have southpaw Matt Strahm on the mound, who is coming off a bounce-back performance against the Orioles. He struck out nine despite allowing four runs. He worked mostly out of the bullpen last season.

Here are how the lineups look to shape up as the Padres host the Giants on Tuesday night. You can follow the action on NBC Sports Bay Area or by downloading and streaming on the MyTeams app.
