Giants Vs. Padres Lineups: Right-handed Batters Get the Nod in Opener

After a much-needed day off, the Giants begin a three-game series in San Diego on Friday night.

With the Padres starting lefty Joey Lucchesi, Giants manager Bruce Bochy is going heavy on the right-handed hitters.

Donovan Solano will start in place of Joe Panik, while rookie Zach Green will play third base over Pablo Sandoval.

In the outfield, Alex Dickerson and Mike Yastrzemski are getting the night off with Tyler Austin starting in left and Austin Slater patrolling right field.

Jeff Samardzija takes the ball for the Giants, and will look to bounce back from a rough outing against the Mets.

The Giants are 16-4 in July and look to keep their push for the NL wild-card going.
