Giants Vs. Padres Lineups: Shaun Anderson Aims for Series Win on Mound

A rookie will take the mound Saturday as the Giants aim for a critical series win over the San Diego Padres.

Shaun Anderson will make his 14th MLB start, and can move San Francisco to within a game of the second NL wild-card spot depending upon other results. The Padres can place a hurdle in their division rivals' possible path to the postseason, and rookie Cal Quantrill will try to outdo his first-year counterpart.

A night after trotting a righty-heavy lineup, the Giants will rely upon a whole lot of lefties against Quantrill. Pablo Sandoval, Friday's switch-hitting hero whose home run was the difference in the Giants' 2-1 win, will bat third.

Coverage begins at 4:30 p.m. with Giants Pregame Live on NBC Sports Bay Area and streaming on the My Teams app.
