Report: Pablo Sandoval Would ‘love' Reunion With Giants; Bobby Evans Comments

Pablo Sandoval's tumultuous time in Boston came to an end on Friday.

Just over a day later, speculation has already begun about a possible return to San Francisco.

And it appears Sandoval's camp is all for the idea.

According to FanRag Sports' Jon Heyman, people close to Sandoval suggest he would "love" to re-join the Giants and "relishes the idea."

Sandoval left the Giants following the 2014 World Series championship and signed a five-year, $95 million deal with the Red Sox.

How do the Giants feel about the idea of bringing the Kung-Fu Panda back?

GM Bobby Evans offered this no-comment comment when approached by Heyman:

"I can't get into speculation one way or other on a player under contract elsewhere," Evans told Heyman.

Boston has 10 days from the time they designated Sandoval for assignment to trade the third baseman. If they can't find a trade partner, Sandoval will be waived, at which point he can then sign with any team.
