Cousins: ‘Don't Really Understand What's Going on' With Kings

For the second straight offseason, the Sacramento Kings underwent a sizable roster makeover.

Gone are Rajon Rondo, Marco Belinelli, Seth Curry, Quincy Acy, Caron Butler, Duje Dukan, James Anderson and Eric Moreland.

Eight new players have been added to the roster: Veterans Arron Afflalo, Anthony Tolliver, Garrett Temple, Matt Barnes and draft picks Georgios Papagiannis, Malachi Richardson, Skal Labissiere, Isaiah Cousins.

For two-time All-Star center DeMarcus Cousins, it's been puzzling watching the front office work this offseason.

Following Team USA's first practice in Las Vegas Monday, Cousins was asked about the Kings' offseason moves.

"I do my job. I can't control that. I control what I can control," Cousins said in a video published by ABC10.

He was asked about his thoughts on the team adding more size to an already deep frontline.

"I don't really understand it. But like I said, I do my job," Cousins said.

Asked if he thought management was trying to bring in younger players and change the culture, Cousins offered this.

"I don't really understand what's going on. I just control what I can control," Cousins said.

He was then asked if he's spoken to vice president of basketball operations Vlade Divac and members of the front office.

"I let them do their job," Cousins responded.

Cousins was asked for his thoughts on the Kings parting ways with Rondo.

"We remain the same. He's like a big brother to me. Like I said, I can control what I can control. Management went elsewhere. I do my job, and I let them do theirs," Cousins said.
