Kings, De'Aaron Fox Can Breathe After Positive MRI Results

Injury averted. The Sacramento Kings received some good news Wednesday morning when a precautionary MRI on rookie point guard De'Aaron Fox came back negative.

Fox left the Kings' 105-99 victory over the Orlando Magic early on Tuesday evening with what the team deemed  "abdominal tightness." The MRI showed no damage to the abdominal region.

He is listed as day-to-day moving forward, but the team does not believe the injury to be serious. The team will update Fox's availability for Thursday's game against the Miami Heat early on game day.

Fox is posting 10.6 points and 4.6 assists in 26.5 minutes per game in his rookie season in Sacramento. He missed seven games in December with a tear in his right quad, but the 20-year-old has played well in the 11 games since returning.
