SACRAMENTO - The pick is in. With the No. 8 selection in the 2016 NBA the Draft, the Sacramento Kings have landed Sacramento native Marquese Chriss ... and then moved him to the Phoenix Suns.
At this point, it appears that the Kings have added the No. 13 and No. 28 picks from the Suns, as well as 2014 first round selection Bogdan Bogdanovic, who is still currently playing in Europe.
[HAM: Report: Kings trading guard Belinelli to Hornets for 22nd pick]
Bogdanovic, 23, is a 6-foot-6 Serbian shooting guard with a 6-foot-11 wingspan and a 36-inch vertical. He played for Fenerbahce last season, averaging 11.6 points, 3.3 rebounds and 3.0 assists in 27.6 minutes a night.
While Chriss had plenty of potential, the Kings were looking for more assets to fill out their roster. If both of their deals go through on draft night, including the Marco Belinelli trade to the Charlotte Hornets, the Kings have the No. 13, 22 and 28 selections in the draft.
The Vertical was first to report the trade.
