Source: Kings Add Big Man Richaun Holmes on Day 2 of NBA Free Agency

SACRAMENTO -- The hits keep coming. After loading up with Dewayne Dedmon, Trevor Ariza and Cory Joseph in the first day of free agency, the Sacramento Kings added a shot blocking super athlete on Day 2.

NBC Sports California has confirmed through a league source that Richaun Holmes is joining the squad on a two-year, $10 million contract.

The Athletic's Shams Charania was first with the news.

After playing his first three seasons in Philly, the 25-year-old big averaged 8.2 points, 4.7 rebounds and 1.1 blocks in 16.9 minutes per game last season with the Phoenix Suns.

Richaun will compete for minutes on the frontline with Dedmon, Harry Giles, Marvin Bagley and Nemanja Bjelica. He brings an athleticism and energy that will instantly make him a fan favorite in Sacramento.

With most of the Kings' cap space already eaten up, it's likely Sacramento used the mid-level room exception, which starts at $4.7 million this season. The roster now stands at 12 guaranteed contracts with team options on both Yogi Ferrell and Frank Mason.
