Source: Kings Sign Former Wisconsin Standout

SACRAMENTO -- With just six games remaining in the 2017-18 season, the Sacramento Kings have added an extra body to the mix. NBC Sports California has confirmed the signing of small forward Nigel Hayes to a two-year contract. The deal will keep him with the team through the remainder of this season, but is non-guaranteed for the 2018-19 campaign.

The 6-foot-8, 254 pound wing has spent time with both the Los Angeles Lakers and the Toronto Raptors this season. He's played a total of four games while playing on two separate 10-day contracts at the NBA level.

Hayes, 23, went undrafted last summer after three seasons at Wisconsin. He's played well at the G-League level this season, posting 15 points, 6.1 rebounds and 1.4 steals per game while shooting 43.4 percent from long range between stops with the Raptors 905's and Westchester Knicks.

With the addition, the Kings roster now stands at 15, plus the two-way contracts of JaKarr Sampson and Jack Cooley.

ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski was first with the news.
