SACRAMENTO -- Free agency buzz is all consuming at this point. Money is being tossed around like never before and the Sacramento Kings have yet to jump in with their $30-plus million in cap space. That doesn't mean that they aren't feverishly working the phones.
According to a source, the Kings are still in the mix for free agent forward Ryan Anderson. The Sacramento native is bound to pull in close to $20 million annually in the new world of the NBA.
The Kings made Anderson a top priority coming into the summer and it appears that nothing has changed. The 28-year-old stretch-four averaged 17.0 points and 6.0 rebounds last season for the New Orleans Pelicans, while shooting 36.6 percent from behind the arc.

Sacramento is loaded with bigs, but they don't have another player like Anderson on the roster that can stretch the floor and create space for All-Star DeMarcus Cousins to work in the post. His 3-point numbers are down over the last two seasons, but he is still considered one of the best perimeter bigs in the game.
According to reports, Anderson will meet with the Houston Rockets on Saturday. It is unknown if he will visit with the Kings before making a decision, but his parents and sister still live in the Sacramento area.
