Report: Raiders Work Out Three Recently-cut Kickers

Sebastian Janikowski may be entrenched as the Raiders kicker, but that didn't stop the team from working out three recently unemployeed players.

Mike Nugent, Josh Lambo and Marshall Koehn all worked out for the Raiders on Monday, according to ESPN.

Nugent, a former second-round pick by the Jets, was released by the Giants on Saturday. The 35-year-old Nugent spent the last seven seasons with the Bengals.

The Chargers cut Lambo on Saturday as they decided to keep rookie kicker Younghoe Koo, who is best known for making trick shot field goals.

Koehn, rookie from Iowa, was cut by the Vikings on Saturday. He lost the position battle with Kai Forbath.

The veteran Janikowski is entering his 18th season as the Raiders' kicker. Last season, he made 29 of 35 field goal attempts (82.9 percent) and connected on 37 of 39 extra point attempts (94.9 percent). The 30-year-old is in the final year of a four-year contract. He's scheduled to make $4.05 million in base salary this season.
