Jon Gruden Trolls Stephen A. Smith, Says Raiders Need Tim Brown Vs. Bengals

The Raiders' 2018 season has been full of drama and a whole lot of losses. Everyone needs a good laugh here and there, though, and coach Jon Gruden was the one to provide comedic relief Friday.

When asked about Amari Cooper saying Raiders owner Mark Davis, not Gruden, was the one who wanted to trade him, the coach avoided the question by saying, "I've heard some things in the media that are absolutely hilarious, that aren't even close." And then came the troll job of the year.

"I'm not commenting on any of that stuff," Gruden continued. "We gotta get ready for Dan Ross and Boobie Clark. We gotta watch out for Isaac Curtis down the middle. We gotta get Tim Brown and all our receivers ready to play."

Gruden saying the Raiders need to be ready to play Bengals from the 1970s and '80s, and bringing up a former Silver and Black Hall of Fame wide receiver comes one day after his former ESPN colleague, Stephen A. Smith, showed his lack of current NFL knowledge.

Not to mention, this also comes just days after Stephen A saying "he's disgusted" for Gruden turning recently fired general manager Reggie McKenzie into the Raiders' scapegoat.

Friendly fun, or payback? Either way, Gruden gave Raider Nation the laugh it needed.
