Raiders Inactives: Keelan Doss Active for First Time Against Chiefs

ALAMEDA – Keelan Doss was in Jacksonville this time last week, thrilled the Jaguars guaranteed a full league minimum salary for him to remain on their practice squad. Then the Raiders threw an extra $300,000 at him for a return engagement with the Silver and Black, where the Alameda kid signed as an undrafted free agent.

Now he's back and active for Sunday's game against the Kansas City. J.J. Nelson's sore ankle opened a window for Doss to play, though it's uncertain how much he'll contribute considering he's the fifth receiver up and doesn't do much on special teams.

Ryan Grant is expected to start outside opposite Tyrell Williams, though Grant didn't do much last week and Doss could find some snaps if the elder struggles early.

Doss has played once for his hometown team, in a preseason game against the L.A. Rams. His first catch was a touchdown, as was documented by "Hard Knocks."

The Raiders are okay at the punter spot despite A.J. Cole showing up as questionable on Friday's injury report with a right foot injury. His availability was foreshadowed when the Raiders didn't sign a punter on Saturday afternoon.

Defensive tackle Corey Liuget remains out while the Raiders get him into playing shape and up to speed defensively.

Here's the list of Raiders inactives.

And for the Chiefs:
