Report: Raiders ‘preparing for E.J. Manuel to Start' Vs Ravens

Raiders quarterback Derek Carr surprised many when he hit the practice field this week after suffering a fracture in his back vs. the Broncos on Sunday. Despite his efforts, it appears Carr will not be the man under center for the Raiders vs. Ravens.

Oakland's coaching staff is preparing backup E.J. Manuel to start against Baltimore, according to a national report.

Manuel stepped in last week after Carr was injured in Denver. The 27-year-old completed 11 of his 17 pass atempts for 106 yards and one interception.

Through his five-year NFL career, Manuel has thrown for 3,608 yards, 19 touchdowns and 16 interceptions with a 58.5 completion percentage. He was selected 16th overall by the Bills in the 2013 NFL Draft.

The Ravens are allowing 222.2 passing yards per game this season, good for 16th in the NFL, right at the halfway mark.
