Report: Raiders Officials to Meet With Oakland Stadium Leaders

Oakland and Alameda County are scheduled to vote on a stadium proposal term sheet on Tuesday; NFL owners will meet to discuss relocation issues on Wednesday

Raiders stadium efforts have been laser focused on Las Vegas for some time. Owner Mark Davis has committed to relocate his franchise and support a stadium proposal that includes $750 million in public funds.

Oakland and Alameda County have been independently working on a stadium project to keep the Raiders in town, one that would include significant private investment from a group fronted by former 49ers and Raiders safety Ronnie Lott.

The Raiders have ignored Oakland stadium progress, though that stance has softened some. Team officials were to meet with the NFL and Oakland stadium proponents on Monday, according to the NFL Network.

Local officials released it stadium proposal term sheet, which includes a financial framework for a $1.3 billion project on the Coliseum site. Lott’s group, which includes Fortress Investment Group, is expected to contribute $400 million.

The meeting offers the Raiders a chance to ask questions about the Oakland stadium proposal.
