Sharks Select C Dylan Gambrell at No. 60 in 2016 NHL Entry Draft

The Sharks chose a 19-year-old American-born center with their first selection in the 2016 NHL Entry Draft on Saturday.

Dylan Gambrell was the 60^th overall selection by San Jose, after the Sharks were quiet on Friday with no first round pick. In 41 games with the University of Denver last season, his freshman year, Gambrell had 47 points (17g, 30a).

Prior to joining the University of Denver, Gambrell spent three seasons in Dubuque (USHL), recording 108 points (39g, 69a) in 172 games.

Gambrell, a six-foot, 179-pound native of Bonney Lake, Washington, was the 67^th-ranked North American skater by NHL Central Scouting.

The Sharks have four more picks throughout the second day of the draft.
