SAN JOSE -- After carving out a win on Saturday, the Sharks look to close out their three-game homestand on a high note with a Monday night matchup against the Boston Bruins.
San Jose had to grind on Saturday night against the Vancouver Canucks, but emerged with a 3-2 victory. Afterward, Sharks coach Peter DeBoer said his team "had to work for a win tonight -- and that's how it should be."
The Sharks will have to keep grinding against a Boston Bruins team that visits San Jose on a five-game winning streak. Monday's game is expected to have a playoff kind of feel to it. "It's a great test for our group," DeBoer said.
This is the first time this season the Sharks and Bruins have played each other. Through 38 total games between the franchises, San Jose holds a 12-19-5-2 record.
