OAKLAND -- Already the only two-time MVP in Warriors history, Stephen Curry on Thursday entered a club where only a select few with the franchise reside.
That would be the 14K club.
Curry needed 2 points to reach 14,000 and wasted no time, hitting an 18-foot jumper 41 seconds after tipoff between the Warriors and Timberwolves at Oracle Arena.
"When I was in high school, you always had 1,000-point club. In college, I made the 2,000-point club. That's pretty cool," Curry said. "But when you think 10,000 points in the league would be something crazy. To hear 14, it's a pretty cool number."
Curry added 23 more points to finish with 25 in a 126-113 victory over Minnesota.
"I appreciate every opportunity I get to go play," he said. "It's pretty cool. Hopefully, there's a lot more to come."

In 72 years of Warriors basketball, in Philadelphia and in the Bay Area, only four other players have reached that scoring level: Paul Arizin, Wilt Chamberlain, Rick Barry and Chris Mullin.
All four are in the Naismith Memorial Hall of Fame.
