Curry Rips Sports Illustrated for Not Including Kaepernick on Cover

Aaron Rodgers, Cameron Jordan, Michael Bennett, Shad Khan, Steve Kerr, Candace Parker, Bruce Maxwell, LeBron James, Stephen Curry, Roger Goodell.

Those 10 sports figures were featured on the latest Sports Illustrated cover that deals with the national anthem protests and the racial divide in America right now.

Not picture was the athlete that got the current wave of protests started: former 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick.

Curry, who is featured prominently in the graphic, didn't hold back when asked for his thoughts on the SI cover.

"That was terrible. That's just capitalizing on the hoopla and the media and all that nonsense. The real people that understand what's going on and who's really been active and vocal and truly making a difference. If you don't have Kaepernick front and center on that, then something's wrong. It's kind of hard to see how certain narratives take place, being prisoners of the moment. I was kinda joking around yesterday when I saw that on a certain Instagram handle, but at the end of the day, that stuff really  doesn't matter. It's about the true message and highlighting the people that are doing the right things," Curry told the media in Oakland on Wednesday.

A day earlier, Curry first made his thoughts known on the cover, by leaving "Booooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo" as a comment on an Instagram post showing the image.
