Improving in Several Areas Key to McAdoo's Playing Time in 2016-17

Editor's Note: The above video is from April 11, 2016

Player: James Michael McAdoo

Position: Power forward/center

Height/weight: 6-9, 240

Age: 23

Salary: $980K (Year 1 of one-year contract)

2015-16 in review: Inactive for two months with a sprained toe, he played in 41 games as the last big man off the bench and provided energy and production in spurts, averaging 2.9 points, 1.4 rebounds and a 6.4 minutes. Odd stat: McAdoo shot 53.6 percent from the field, 53.1 from the free throw line.

2016-17 outlook: Assuming a healthy Warriors roster, McAdoo will again be fairly deep on the bench – unless he develops a shot. His role will be much the same, to bring energy and production in spot minutes. He will have opportunities to prove the team's bench did not disintegrate in the offseason. Can he help offset the rebounding and rim protection lost with the departure of Festus Ezeli?

Floor: He plays very sparingly and only in garbage time.

Ceiling: He is able to produce in the paint well enough to play significant minutes.
