OAKLAND -- Missing three of their top six players, the Warriors concluded their preseason schedule with a 117-106 win over Sacramento in what looked a lot like a glorified scrimmage Friday night at Oracle Arena.
Stephen Curry scored a game-high 18 points on 6-of-12 shooting (4-of-6 from deep) before sitting out the second half. Pat McCaw came off the bench for 17 (7-of-15, 3-of-8) and Nick Young, starting for Kevin Durant, also tossed in 15 (5-of-14, 5-of-9) and Jordan Bell added 10.
The Warriors were outshot by the Kings (48.2 percent from the field to 46.9 percent) but won the rebounding battle, 47-40.
The Warriors posted a 2-2 record during the preseason.
UPSIDE
Bell, earning his first start (for Draymond Green), showed why Warriors coach Steve Kerr is comfortable playing him in a regular-season game. The rookie played 25 minutes, went 5-of-8 from the field and added a game-high 11 rebounds, four assists, two steals and two blocks. He was a game-best plus-13 for the night.
Sports
Third-year forward Kevon Looney got some extended run, finishing with 9 points and eight rebounds in 18 minutes.
Young, catching up on conditioning, played a game-high 30 minutes, the most of any Warrior in any game this preseason.
DOWNSIDE
Veteran forward Omri Casspi sustained a mild sprain of his right ankle (non-contact) early in the second quarter, limped into the locker room and did not return.
Veteran guard Shaun Livingston, usually a high-percentage shooter, struggled with his jumper, going 0-of-4 from the field.
