Warriors' Win Streak Blown Up by Rockets in 2OT

OAKLAND – The Warriors’ win streak was snapped at 12 Thursday night, when the Houston Rockets came into Oracle Arena and pulled out a double overtime victory.

In a game crackling with playoff intensity, the Warriors were outscored 9-4 in the second OT and slinked off with a 132-127 loss.

Kevin Durant scored a game-high 39 points to lead the Warriors in scoring, while Stephen Curry totaled 28, Draymond Green 19, Klay Thompson 15 and Andre Iguodala 10.

With the Warriors firing 44 3-pointers and the Rockets 44, the teams combined for 88 treys, the most ever in an NBA game.

The Warriors (16-3) were outshot, outrebounded and crushed on second-chance points, as the Rockets were aggressive from the start and never relented.

Houston (12-7) was led in scoring by James Harden and Ryan Anderson, each with 29 points.

STANDOUT PERFORMER

Though Durant carried the offense for most of the night, nobody in a Warriors jersey did more comprehensively terrific than Green.

Green’s line: 20 points (9-of-15 from the field, 0-of-2 from deep), 15 rebounds, nine assists and two steals. He played 47 minutes and finished plus-1 before fouling out with 8.4 seconds left in the second overtime.

With the score tied 123-123, Curry fouled out with 3:25 remaining in double OT. Thirteen seconds later, Harden drilled a 3-pointer to give the Rockets a lead they never lost.

The Warriors trailed by seven before embarking on a comeback, following a Ryan Anderson 3-pointer that gave Houston a 97-90 lead with 7:21 remaining with a 14-4 run to go up 104-101 with 3:28 to play.
