Kerr Updates the Status of Curry's Ankle Ahead of Tuesday's Game Vs Nets

OAKLAND -- After tweaking his right ankle Friday in Atlanta, Stephen Curry vowed it would not cause him to miss any games.

It wasn't enough to keep the point guard off the golf course Saturday at Augusta National, nor did it prevent him from participating in what Warriors coach Steve Kerr referred to as "a good, long practice" on Monday.

"He was good," Kerr said. "He practiced fully."

Kerr added that Curry "should be" able to play Tuesday night against the Nets at Oracle Arena.

Curry turned the ankle when, while defending in traffic, his right foot came down on the left foot of Warriors center Zaza Pachulia late in the first quarter of a 109-101 win over the Hawks.

He left the game, but returned to play 13 more minutes in the second and third quarters, adding 18 points to his total of 28. Curry left the game in the third quarter as a precaution, according to the Warriors.

So if Curry is out of the lineup Tuesday night, it's not because his ankle rendered him unavailable. It's because the Warriors opted to give him the night off against a Brooklyn team that has lost 15 of its last 17 games.
