Klay Thompson apologizes for ripping Warriors fans: 'I love DubNation'

Klay Thompson is usually the happy-go-lucky Warriors star that everyone seems to love for his laid back personality.

When the shooting guard called out the Oracle Arena crowd on Sunday night after the team's 115-111 loss to the Suns, it was quite the surprise. On Wednesday, Thompson took to Twitter to make amends.

Thompson didn't hold back three days after losing to the lowly Suns.

"I expect our crowd to be a little more into it," Thompson said after the game. "Like, I know it's not the playoffs, but it is our last go-around in Oracle. The least you can do is stand up when we make a good play."

Coming into Oracle used to be a nightmare for opposing teams. The Warriors used to be nearly unbeatable in Oakland, winning an NBA-record 54 straight regular season home games, a streak that was snapped on April 1, 2016.

But the tide has turned with a rough wave in the Bay. The Warriors have now lost three of their last five home games, and 10 total at Oracle this season.

"Let's put a better effort out on the floor, and give our fans something to cheer for," Warriors head coach Steve Kerr said the day after Thompson's initial comments.

Klay has been a fan favorite for years, and that certainly isn't changing. Before they head back home, however, they must endure a daunting road trip that begins Wednesday in Houston.
