The Warriors' win streak over the Clippers finally came to an end Wednesday night at Oracle Arena in a 126-106 loss, but fans still witnessed history in Oakland.
With 40 points in the defeat, Kevin Durant now has 20,015 career points. He needed 25 points to become the 44th member in the 20,000-points club and did so all in the first half.
At 29 years and 103 days, Durant is the second youngest player in NBA history to reach 20,000 points behind only LeBron James, who accomplished the feat at 28 years and 17 days. Kobe Bryant at 29 years and 122 days was previously the second fastest to accomplish the feat.
Teammates Klay Thompson and Zaza Pachulia went to Twitter to congratulate Durant after the game.

At halftime, an injured Steph Curry greeted Durant and showed Durant some love while embarassing him all at once in a hilarious video.
The NBA is a family and even rivals came to congratulate Durant. Both LeBron James and Dwyane Wade of the Cavs tweeted to Durant for joining rare company.
@KDTrey5 Congrats G on 20K!! Lots and lots of buckets! Easy too— LeBron James (@KingJames) January 11, 2018
Congrts to @KDTrey5 on all those buckets. I thought I'd say welcome to the 20,000 club now before he leaves and go on to the 30,000 club!— DWade (@DwyaneWade) January 11, 2018
James (29,874) is seventh all-time in career points and Wade (21,734) is currently at No. 33.
Next in line for Durant to pass is a former Warriors great. Durant is just 29 points away from passing Antawn Jamison (20,042) for 43rd on the NBA's all-time scoring list.
