NBA Gameday: Warriors Open Preseason Slate at Oracle Vs Nuggets

OAKLAND -- The Warriors return to Oracle Arena for the first time since winning the NBA Finals last June 12 on Saturday, when they open their abbreviated four-game preseason schedule against the Denver Nuggets.

Tipoff is scheduled for 5:30 p.m.

It's Draymond Green Bobblehead night, with the first 10,000 fans receiving a limited edition bobblehead. In addition, the Warriors forward will receive his Defensive Player of the Year trophy in a pregame ceremony.

Coach Steve Kerr said Friday that he plans no changes to the starting lineup of Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, Kevin Durant, Draymond Green and Zaza Pachulia.

INJURY REPORT

Nuggets: G Jameer Nelson (toe) is listed as out.

Warriors: F Omir Casspi (personal, Yom Kippur) is listed as out.

THREE THINGS TO WATCH

THE NEW GUYS: Both teams have added veteran players. Though Casspi is out, this will be the first look at veteran guard Nick Young and rookie forward Jordan Bell in a Warriors jersey. Young likely will get more playing time.

The Nuggets added All-Star forward Paul Millsap.

GENERAL CONDITIONING: The Warriors have had five training-camp sessions, Denver four. Expect to see a few players on both teams looking winded, bent over and grabbing at their shorts.

KLAY THOMPSON: The All-Star shooting guard performed below his offensive standard for most of the postseason but has drawn raves in camp for his conditioning and movement off the ball.
