Report: Clippers Bringing in Former Warriors F for Camp

Dorell Wright did not play in the NBA last season.

But he will be at Clippers training camp, according to the Orange County Register's Dan Woike.

Wright last played for the Blazers in 2014-15, when he averaged 4.6 points over 48 games, while shooting nearly 38 percent from deep.

The 30-year old small forward entered the league as the 19th overall pick in the 2004 NBA Draft.

In the 2010-11 campaign, he started all 82 games for the Warriors and averaged 16.4 points, 5.3 rebounds and 3.0 assists per contest.

His 194 made 3-pointers led the NBA, and at the time, was a Golden State single-season record.

In his second year with the Warriors, his numbers dipped to 10.3 points, 4.6 rebounds and 1.5 assists over 61 games. He shot 36 percent from distance.

As Woike noted, the Clippers already have 15 players under guaranteed contracts, so it will be difficult for Wright to make the opening night roster.

Wright's younger brother, Delon, plays for the Raptors.
