The Warriors have an open roster spot and JaVale McGee is available.
But McGee is not happy with the Warriors, according to the Bay Area News Group's Marcus Thompson.
And why is that?
Golden State gave the entire taxplayer mid-level exception (about $5.2 million) to Nick Young, and Zaza Pachulia got a 20 percent raise to a salary of around $3.48 million.
As Thompson writes: "McGee believed his play this season earned him more minutes and money, and is looking for that on the market."
The most the Warriors can pay McGee in 2017-18 is the veteran minimum of $2,116,955.
If the nine-year veteran elects to sign elsewhere (assuming he has a standing offer from Golden State), the Warriors don't need to add anybody.

"There's no league rule that says you have to have 15 guys," assistant GM Kirk Lacob told NBC Sports Bay Area last week in Las Vegas. "We're happy with the 14 we have. We have the ability to add someone if we really like them.
"If there's someone that comes along that we really like, then sure. If not, no big deal. It gives us flexibility going into the year. In past years, we've typically had 14 because there are trade opportunities, there's buyout guys, there's G League players..."
McGee averaged 6.1 points and 3.2 rebounds over 9.6 minutes per game during the regular season.
He appeared in 16 of the Warriors' 17 playoff games (Game 5 of the NBA Finals) and registered 5.9 points and 3.0 rebounds over 9.3 minutes per contest, while shooting over 73 percent from the field.
