After losing to the Warriors in the NBA Finals in June, the Cavs made several changes to their roster.
Now it appears they will be making major changes to their starting five.
Center Tristan Thompson, who started 78 games for the Cavs last season, will now come off the bench, according to multiple reports. Kevin Love will shift from power forward to center and offseason acquisition Jae Crowder will start at power forward.
The Athletic was the first to report the moves. TNT confirmed the news.
According to TNT, Thompson is "okay with it," referring to coming off the bench.
Cavs head coach Tyronn Lue may have another move to make once the regular season begins. JR Smith was expected to start at shooting guard, but that could change with Dwyane Wade signing with the Cavs last week.
