Rockets' Clint Capela Declares He Wants to Face Warriors in Second Round

Last year, Clint Capela claimed the Rockets were better than the Warriors.

The Rockets' center even doubled down on that declaration.

We all know how that turned out.

Now, with a Rockets-Warriors matchup on the horizon in the second round of the NBA playoffs, Capela is doing some talking again.

Here's an exchange Capela had with teammate Chris Paul and the media following the Rockets' 100-93 series-clinching win over the Jazz on Wednesday.

Capela: "That's what I want. I want to face them."

Paul: "Ah man, you're going to be all over Bleacher Report. It's cool. It is what it is."

Capela: "We're going to get ready for that."

Paul to reporter: "Look at you, you can't wait to tweet that."

Capela: "We've been working on it all year long, but if you want to be the champion, you've got to beat the champion. So at some point, you gotta do it, right?"

Paul to reporters: "Make sure you put that, too."

If the Warriors advance past the Clippers, Capela will get his wish.

A potential Game 1 between the Rockets and Warriors could come as soon as Sunday afternoon.
