OAKLAND -- Stephen Curry limped off the court in the opening minutes of the Warriors-Spurs game Thursday night after rolling his right ankle.
Officially referring to it as a "tweak," the Warriors initially left open the possibility of Curry returning to the game but ruled him out midway through the second quarter.
After the Warriors beat the Spurs 110-107, the Warriors announced that Curry won't travel with the team to Portland for Friday's game.
The injury occurred when Curry drove in for a layup, was fouled by San Antonio guard Dejounte Murray, rolling his ankle upon landing and went hobbling into the south tunnel at Oracle Arena.
Curry returned to the court long enough to shoot two free throws, making both, before heading into the locker room with 9:37 remaining in the fourth quarter.
This is at least the fourth time Curry has sprained his right ankle this season, the most serious occurring on Dec. 4 at New Orleans and causing him to miss 11 games.
