Warriors' Looney in 2016 Hopes to Stay Healthy, See Minutes

Player: Kevon Looney

Position: Small forward/power forward

Height/weight: 6-9, 220

Age: 20

Salary: $1.18 million (Year 2 of rookie contract, team options for Years 3 and 4)

2015-16 in review: Looney spent most of his rookie season in rehab, having undergone surgery on his right hip in August and his left hip in April. In between, he split time with the Warriors and D-League affiliate Santa Cruz, appearing in five NBA games and playing a total of 21 minutes.

2016-17 outlook: Having received medical clearance and is expected to participate in training camp, Looney task is to find minutes in the frontcourt. He has some offensive skills and is a solid rebounder, but much of his potential remains a mystery. The Warriors want nothing more than a healthy season to provide an accurate evaluation.

Floor: Multiple hip surgeries derail his professional career.

Ceiling: He recovers, hones his game and shows signs of potential as a reserve.
