Warriors Assign Jacob Evans to Santa Cruz

Jacob Evans is Santa Cruz bound.

The Warriors assigned the rookie to their G League affiliate, the team announced on Tuesday.

You can expect Evans to be in uniform for Santa Cruz's home opener on Wednesday night against the Stockton Kings. Tipoff is scheduled for 7pm and you can watch the action on NBC Sports Bay Area and/or the MyTeams app.

Evans -- the 28th overall pick in the 2018 draft -- has logged just 44 minutes total over Golden State's first 11 games. His status moving forward will most likely depend on the availability of Draymond Green, Andre Iguodala and Shaun Livingston.

Golden State hosts Milwaukee on Thursday and Brooklyn on Saturday, while Santa Cruz plays in Southern California on Friday and in Santa Cruz on Saturday.

Evans -- who is behind Alfonzo McKinnie and Quinn Cook in the rotation -- may be going back and forth quite a bit.
