Warriors Back in Action, Aim for Franchise History Against Nets

OAKLAND -- The Warriors are 5-0 since the All-Star break and they're expected to add another win Tuesday night, when they return home to face the Brooklyn Nets.

Coverage on NBC Sports Bay Area begins at 6:30, with tipoff from Oracle Arena at 7:35.

Coming off a road trip on which they went 3-0, the Warriors (49-14) are one victory from becoming the first team in franchise history to reach 50 wins five years in a row. Only San Antonio, at 18 consecutive years, has a longer active streak.

The Nets (20-44) have lost their last nine road games, including the first three on their current trip.

MATCHUP TO WATCH:
Stephen Curry vs. Spencer Dinwiddie: These PGs won't always match up, but each is his team's catalyst. Dinwiddie has been Brooklyn's best player this season and he's getting better. Consider this: in five games since the All-Star break, he has 44 assists, six turnovers. Curry's last five games in that category: 27/15. But he's also averaging 27.8 points on 51.2 percent shooting, including 50.0 percent from beyond the arc.

INJURY REPORT:
Warriors: F/C Jordan Bell (low back strain) is listed as probable. G Pat McCaw (L wrist fracture) is listed as out. C Damian Jones is on assignment with the G-League Santa Cruz Warriors.

Nets: G Jeremy Lin (R patellar tendon rupture) is listed as out. G Isaiah Whitehead) is on assignment with the G-League Long Island Nets.

LAST 10:
Warriors: 8-2. Nets: 1-9.

GAME OFFICIALS:
John Goble, Derrick Collins, Lauren Holtkamp

SERIES HISTORY:
The Warriors won the first of two meetings this season, 118-111, on Nov. 19 at Barclays Center and have won five in a row against Brooklyn. The Warriors are 6-1 against the Nets in the Steve Kerr era, have won 15 of 20 overall and 11 of the last 12 played in Oakland.

THREE THINGS TO WATCH:
KLAY CHASING STEPH: Curry last Friday in Atlanta became the first NBA player to make at least 200 3-pointers in six different seasons. Klay Thompson has done it in five seasons needs four more to become the second player to accomplish the feat.

THE TRIPLES GAME: The Warriors are known for superior 3-point shooting and lead the league at 39.7 percent. They rank only 11th in attempts, at 29.8 per game. The Nets live and die by the 3, as only the Rockets take more than Brooklyn's 35.3 shots per game beyond the arc.

THE FOCUS FACTOR: As bad as the Nets are, particularly on the road, the Warriors can't assume anything. They've lost to two teams destined for the lottery and three others outside the current playoff picture. They have to be ready against a poor team that routinely plays hard.
