Warriors First-round Pick Damian Jones Makes D-League Debut

BOX SCORE

For the first time since being drafted with the No. 30 pick in the 2016 NBA Draft, rookie big man Damian Jones suited up for the Warriors on Friday. Well, the Santa Cruz Warriors that is.

Jones, a 7-foot center from Vanderbilt, made his D-League debut in Santa Cruz against the Sioux Falls Skyforce. Playing in 13 minutes, Jones scored two points and grabbed seven rebounds as the Warriors fell, 100-93.

The rookie was plus-4 in his 13 minutes of work.

Jones, 21, tore his right pectoral muscle less than two weeks before the draft. He averaged 13.9 points and 6.9 rebounds per game as a junior last season.
