2015-16 in review: McCaw had a solid sophomore season at UNLV, averaging 14.7 points, 5.2 rebounds and 3.9 assists per game while leading the Rebels in minutes played. The Warriors liked him enough to buy their way into the second round and select him with the 38th overall pick.

2016-17 outlook: He plays with savvy and intellect and enters the league with a reputation as a pit-bull defender. Can it translate to the NBA? His frame is very thin, which could create problems at either end. Hall of Famer Jerry West loves him, scouts are high on him and Warriors coach Steve Kerr told CSNBayArea.com McCaw has a chance to crack the rotation as a rookie.

Floor: He struggles to adapt to the physicality of the NBA and rarely sees the floor.

Ceiling: He impresses in camp, continues to develop and earns meaningful minutes.
