Will Anybody Beat Warriors? Van Gundy Says ‘We Have to Make Up Scenarios…'

The Warriors are 33-8 and lead the Rockets by four games for the best record in the Western Conference.

Jeff Van Gundy joined the Lowe Post Podcast on Wednesday to take inventory of the NBA.

"There's noone beating the Warriors. It's just the way it is," Van Gundy reiterated. "We have to make up scenarios that will try to con ourselves into believing, to make the Warriors vulernable. And I think at the end of the day -- every time you try to do that to make it more interesting -- you come back to the same answer.

"Unless something weird happens, this is the team that's going to win for the foreseeable future."

So which team is a bigger threat to Golden State in a seven-game series -- the Rockets or Spurs?

Lowe and Van Gundy both believe the answer is Houston.

"They're best equipped in the league to at least make it a reasonable series," Van Gundy said. "Do I think they would win? No."

Golden State only plays the Rockets one more time this year -- Jan. 20 in Houston.

The Warriors host the Spurs on Feb. 10 and March 8, and play in San Antonio on March 19.
