Curry: ‘We Were Doing the Same Thing; Obviously Great for the League'

On Monday afternoon, Steph Curry addressed the media.

He answered many questions and covered many topics.

One discussion point -- the flurry of activity around the NBA this summer.

"Everybody is trying to make moves to get better and become championship contenders," Curry said. "Before our first Finals appearance, we were doing the same thing -- trying to load up and put together the right combination of guys and the right roster to take our team to the next level.

"It's obviously great for the league that there is that much movement and shuffling of the deck and teams taking chances with personnel to try to get better."

In case you have been living under a rock for the last six weeks...

- Chris Paul is on the Rockets
- Paul George is on the Thunder
- Jimmy Butler is on the Timberwolves
- Paul Millsap is on the Nuggets
- Gordon Hayward is on the Celtics

"You look around the Western Conference -- the amount of talent up and down the board -- is gonna be crazy," Curry added. "Just because we have the same team coming back, we're gonna have to go through different challenges and answer the bell.

"But around the league, it's obviously great that winning still matters and that everybody is trying to make that happen."

Oh, and Kyrie Irving reportedly wants out of Cleveland.

"I don't know the ins and outs of what conversations are going on," Curry told reporters. "It's obviously surprising, but at the end of the day, nothing's really surprising in the NBA when it comes to storylines from year to year.

"It's just kind of the nature of the beast."
