DeMarcus Cousins Starts at Center for Warriors-Raptors NBA Finals Game 2

Steve Kerr went for speed and quickness in Game 1 of the NBA Finals by starting Jordan Bell at center. He'll go for strength and scoring in Game 2.

Almost seven weeks after suffering a torn quadriceps muscle, DeMarcus Cousins will start at center for the Warriors as they seek to even the best-of-seven series against the Raptors at one game apiece.

After playing eight minutes off the bench in the Warriors' loss in Game 1 vs. the Raptors, the Warriors' big man will join Steph Curry, Klay Thompson, Draymond Green and Andre Iguodala in the starting lineup for Game 2.

Cousins scored three points and chipped in two assists and two steals Thursday's Game 1 loss. He shot 0-of-2 from the field and 3-of-4 from the free throw line.

Boogie initially was injured in Game 2 the Warriors' opening round series against the Clippers back on April 15. He's been rehabbing for over six weeks as he tries to make an impact in the first postseason run of his career.

He'll be tasked with slowing down Raptors center Marc Gasol, who poured in 20 points in the Raptors' Game 1 win.
